The foundations of Kontrolmatik were laid when three young entrepreneurs came together to realize their ideas in 2007


The first project that Kontrolmatik, which was established in January 2008, is the Building Automation and Weak Current System project for Microsoft Head Office Building. In their first year, Kontrolmatik has successfully completed the project that Building Automation Works for Azarbaijan Zagalata Airport, which is the first foreign business. After the first project was completed, we continued completing the projects in Libya, Azerbaijan and other countries.



In 2010 Kontrolmatik signed business partnerships on a global basis with the industry's leading electrical company ABB Electric Company.


 As of 2011, Kontrolmatik has decided to expand its fields of activity and started to work in the Energy sector in addition to the Building Technologies and Transportation sectors. The first project in the Energy sector was that providing Control Systems for four different Gas Power Plants on behalf of Zorlu Energy, and then completed his first works abroad in this sector with the works of the Power Plant and High Voltage Substation in Iraq.


Kontrolmatik, which increased its activities in Power Plant and High Voltage Substation projects after 2012, has completed many projects in countries such as Iraq, Turkmenistan, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Jordan.

In 2012, Kontrolmatik signed its first project in Africa for the Tanas Beles Sugar factory business in Ethiopia. After this project, we also provided solutions in the Omo Kuraz Sugar Factory project, and also supported and pioneered the establishment of a domestic panel factory by the government agency we did business with.


 Kontrolmatik, which increased its activities in the Energy and Transportation sector in 2013, took part in various projects such as tunnel electromechanical projects in Ankara and Istanbul, and Power Plants in Zonguldak and Siirt, and successfully completed its responsibilities.


 In 2014, Kontrolmatik signed its first turnkey contract. With this project, it has successfully completed all civil, electrical, mechanical and automation works for the building of Kırka Compressor Station on behalf of Eti Maden. 

In 2014, it successfully completed its first project in Europe for Energy Monitoring System of Pristina Airport on behalf of Limak Construction.


In 2015, Kontrolmatik has successfully completed the Energy Management System project for Ikitelli Industrial Zone which is Turkey's largest Organized Industrial Zone[LB8] . This project was one of the largest private distribution networks and the biggest Energy Management System project in Turkey.


In 2016, Kontrolmatik undertook all E-BOP and 220 kV Switchyard scopes of 3 x 175 MW and 2 x 175 MW Power Plant projects in Africa and signed the highest amount contract to that date.

Kontrolmatik, which follows the trends of the sectors, in 2016, opened a Software and IoT department and started to invest in Industry 4.0 and Cyber Security which are the current trends.


In order to meet the increasing EPC project demands as of 2017, Kontrolmatik has changed its corporate organizational structure and strengthened its systematic solution approach by dividing the company into 6 departments which are Turnkey Projects, Engineering, Testing and Commissioning, Control Systems, Communication Systems, Software and IoT.


In 2018, Kontrolmatik took part in the Istanbul 3rd Airport (IGA) project, one of the country's most prestigious projects in the field of Software & IoT and has carried out one of the largest IoT projects in Turkey to date with the Lorawan Meter Monitoring System. 

Kontrolmatik signed an EPC contract with the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity (MoE) in October 2018 for 4 pcs 132 kV GIS & AIS substations in Mosul as part of the reconstruction of Iraq. German Development Bank (KfW) has undertaken the project financing, whose consultancy and control services are provided by Fichtner. Kontrolmatik has undertaken all engineering, design, production, construction, installation and commissioning services for 132/33/11 kV substations on a turnkey basis. The project has been the largest EPC Substation contract signed by a Turkish company with MoE in Iraq in recent years.


Having signed partnership agreements with General Electric in the field of Control Systems, Nozomi Networks and Fortinet in the field of Cyber Security, PSI in the field of Production Management System, and OSISoft in the field of Data Management System in 2019, Kontrolmatik has increased its activities in these fields not only in Turkey but also in other countries. 

As of 2019, with more than 200 staff, 60% of whom are engineers, offices in 4 countries, and a panel factory in Istanbul, Kontrolmatik continues at full speed, having completed more than 200 projects in 24 different countries.
