POMEGA

Pomega Energy Storage Technologies, a 100% subsidiary of Kontrolmatik, is a manufacturer of Lithium Ion Battery Cells, Packs and Container Solutions.

Pomega Energy Storage System (PESS) is a technology provider of breakthrough innovative and sustainable solutions.

Started in 2021, the 350 MWh capacity investment, which broke ground on 25.01.022, is currently being built on 100,000 m2 of open space in Ankara/Turkey and the first phase is planned to be completed in the first quarter of 2023 and will reach a total capacity of 1,500 MWh in 4 years when all three phases are commissioned. Our Pomega ESS plant is a one-of-a-kind manufacturer, the first in the country's private sector and a manufacturer of Lithium-Ion Battery Cells, Assemblies, Modules and Containers. Our proven technology is prismatic Lithium Iron Phosphate.

Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery cells are highly safe and environmentally friendly compared to normal energy storage cells and technologies that do not contain heavy metals such as cobalt, cadmium, lead and mercury. Lithium does not bioaccumulate in nature like lead or heavy metals.

Our LiFePO4 batteries can be recycled approximately 5,000 times until the end of their lifetime, while other lead-acid batteries can only be recycled 300 - 500 times.

The batteries are 1/3 the weight of conventional batteries, but have the best density balance and produce less waste at the end of their lifetime.

We are committed to building new facilities to transition to using renewable energy sources and creating a foreseeable future.

In fact, our Pomega ESS facility has already started the LEED Green Building certification process during the construction phase. It promises to fulfill all the sustainability commitments that will help us to have a net zero emission culture with various practices such as providing 40% of its electricity needs from solar panels installed on the roof, collecting roof rainwater and using it for facility needs and landscape irrigation, recovering process heat and waste heat, recycling our existing waste as much as possible by implementing a circular waste management system, and using minimum energy sources in the short term and renewable energy sources in the long term in line with our country's goal of reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2053. We are also already collaborating with leading specialized recycling companies to help us in the reuse and recycling of energy and lithium batteries.

We believe that our cost-effective and sustainable Energy Storage Systems will create a domino effect for investors to focus more on renewable energy / EV (electric vehicle) charging systems, residential and electricity mobilization.

 

MOBILE SOLUTIONS

We currently have a factory in Ankara that manufactures MV-HV Mobile Substations, E-Houses (Electricity Houses), Mobile Hybrid Energy Generation Units and Energy Storage Systems, producing mobile solutions.

With these mobile energy solutions (renewable energy power plants, hybrid power houses, mobile substations) and the floating platforms we have designed for Floating Solar Power Plants, we make energy sustainable by storing renewable energy in a stable state 24/7 and making it constantly available.

Our mobile energy solutions provide electricity to people living in Africa, the Middle East and many other challenging geographies and regions, increasing their living standards and welfare.

Plan-S Space and Satellite, a 25% subsidiary of Kontrolmatik, is Turkey's largest private enterprise in the field of satellite and space technologies. The Company designs and builds small satellites for low orbit, geostationary satellites for communication infrastructure, and offers end-to-end satellites as a service solutions provider to its customers.

Small satellites for low orbit are now used to control and reduce environmental pollution from every industrial and daily human activity and to monitor environmental impact data.

Controlix is an IoT (Internet of Things) company with more than 25 sensors, both cloud software and hardware. KONTROLMATIK is an interactive platform developed by the engineering team that can collect millions of data, perform real-time analysis, and take action on an ad-hoc basis.

 

'Environmental Measurement and Monitoring' is the most useful application of IoT today. Controlix's advanced and innovative sensors have features such as air quality, water and energy efficiency monitoring, gas detection (detector). Thus, it serves as a reliable and sustainable tool that plays a role in reducing and controlling environmental impacts and even in the extinction of endangered species.

 

Controlix has sensor products that monitor temperature, humidity and dust, or check water usage and leaks in the system, enabling control of energy efficiency, air quality and particulate matter in the ambient air.
