Speaking at the session titled "Transition to Renewable Energy and Financing for the Green Economy" at the Green Economy and Sustainability Summit organized by #Capital and #Economist magazines in Istanbul, Kontrolmatik General Manager Osman Şahin Köşker drew attention to the importance of energy storage systems that ensure to store energy produced from renewable sources. Emphasizing that renewable energy power plants could become 'base power plants' thanks to energy storage systems, Köşker said that, via their subsidiary company called ‘Pomega Energy Storage Systems’ which was established in 2022, they will start to produce lithium-based battery cells and battery-type energy storage systems that have higher efficiency rates due to being an electrochemical method.
